The Name Behind the Brand

KALAN is named after our founder’s beloved grandmother — a woman who believed in her granddaughter’s dreams more than anyone else. In her final days, her greatest wish was simple — to see her granddaughter build something of her own, something she could be proud of.

“I promised her I would,” says our founder. “And KALAN sewingstop is me keeping that promise.”

Our Story

Born out of a deep passion for Indian ethnic fashion and a desire to honour a grandmother’s faith, KALAN sewingstop is a homegrown Indian brand dedicated to creating beautiful handcrafted ethnic wear for women.
